3/4"
Birch construction
Serious bass for serious pros. Our "w" bin
increases spl from a standard front loaded sub cabinet by 4 to 5 times. A
"w" bins works like this: An 18" woofer is loaded in the
top chamber and is firing into and toward the top back part of the
cabinet. The 18" woofer is only in a 2 cubic foot sealed area. Being
in a small area like that it becomes a bit more efficient as it pushes
sound into the open inside part of the bin. You see bass waves are very
long. In fact in most cases you have to stand up to 100 feet away to get
the full effect of a front loaded cabinet, this number decreases when the
cabinet is in a corner of course. The effect of the "w" bin is
to force the bass wave to rumble around inside the bin and by the time it
comes out, the wave has hit enough angles and side walls to make it seem
as though you are standing up to 100 feet away. The bin does many things:
First, it acts like a band pass enclosure in a way, so crossovers are
needed, but we suggest something to bring it down a little lower, so we
install a coil to bring it to about 125hz. The "w" bin increases
volume and bass response that is un-matched.
We are proud to add that we have yet to take a defective
return or deal with an unhappy customer or dealer. Made for the PRO
musician by PRO musicians.
All metal hardware, 400lb casters
mounted on the angle back (tilt back and go), dual 1/4" inputs, heavy
duty gray or black carpet.
